Am I eligible to seek admission to the PGPM 2009 of IWSB?

The minimum requirement is a valid graduation in any discipline from a recognized University. You are also eligible if you are in the final year of graduation and can produce your degree or a provisional degree by 1st October 2009.

Do I have to sit for an entrance exam?

To be considered for admission to the PGP you need to have taken CAT 2006/2007/2008, or XAT 2006/2007/2008, or GMAT (score valid for the last three years). For more details please click here

Do you offer any financial assistance?

We have made arrangements with our partner banks/financial institutions to provide education loan to those who apply for it and meet the banks’ criteria. In addition, all IWSB students are considered for research assistantships/scholarships (assistance in the form of partial fee waiver and). This is based on demonstration of outstanding potential to excel in the program.

How do I apply for the PGPM?

To apply, please follow one of the following procedures:

  • Purchase the application form from any Career Launcher centre by paying Rs.1000/-. You will be issued a receipt. Enclose a copy of this receipt with the completed application form, and send to us.Click here to find Career Launcher centre near you
  • Download the application form. Send the completed application form, along with a demand draft of Rs.1000/- favouring “IWSB” and payable at Delhi.

    In either case, your application should reach us at

What happens after the short list is prepared?

Shortlisted candidates are informed via telephone and email. List of the shortlisted candidates will also be put up on www.iwsb.in. These candidates will be invited for group exercises and personal discussions. Based on their performance, the final list of candidates admitted to the PGP will be released.

What is the criterion for short-listing candidates?

The Admission Committee short lists candidates based on their performance in the relevant entrance test, past academic record and background, extracurricular achievements, and work experience. Different weights are assigned to each of these factors.

What might be the cutoff CAT/XAT percentile for receiving a call for the next round?

Interview calls will take into consideration not only the percentile score in CAT/XAT, but also your educational background, work experience (if any), as well as accomplishments in non-academic areas such as evidence of leadership, achievements in music, sports, theatre, arts, etc.

Will the group exercises be in the same lines as group discussions?

No, although, group discussion may be a part of these exercises. These exercises are designed by our admission committee to gauge your leadership skills, initiative, creativity and teamwork. You will enjoy participating in these.
