Hometown: Port Blair
About me:

I am a 28 yr old, modest, straight-forward and a no-frills man who keeps his head firmly over his shoulders, loves discussions, strictly follows stoic philosophy and hates hypocrisy. I come from a family of peasants, teachers and Defence personnel - the kind of background that ingrains in me the virtues of honesty, integrity, discipline and self-sustenance. My forefathers were the direct descendants of Hazrat Aboobakar Siddique - Prophet Mohammad’s most trusted Lieutenant and Islam’s first Caliph. From them, I draw a strong inclination towards religion & its value systems so much so that at times I come across as a bigot to my peers.

A few negatives that I am conciously working on since I came to IWSB - a tendency to procrastinate things till the last leg when I am caught gulping, occasional hesitation in putting across my points of view in a group inspite of knowing that I may be right.

Education Qualification: B.Tech (Textile)
Work Experience: 60 months/Export

Passions/Interests:

Coming from Port Blair - the land of serene beaches, I have been passionate about swimming. I used to dive into every little dig of water that we could locate during our childhood. I have also tested waters in the Indian Ocean. I love to sift between travelling and lazing around on idle weekends. I also love to read factious accounts of personalities who have brought meaningful changes to people’s lives.

Dreams/Ambitions:

My ambitions go beyond holding a plush corporate job and fancy designations. I want to lead a virtuous life on the principles of Islam and help people around me by empowering them in whatever capacity I can. Like every individual, I have my own definitions of success. I would consider myself successful if I can spread happiness all around to as many people as possible. For me success would mean sending my parents to Haj pilgrimage and taking care of them in their old age. I would be happy if my brother and I can stay together with our families under one roof in today’s age of nuclear families.
