The first batch of IWSB had an eventful placement season. The placement philosophy at IWSB is a bit different from that being followed by rest of the B-School’s in the country.  At IWSB, the students are coached to become business managers and not functional managers.  A lot of emphasis is laid to ensure that a student gets to exercise this learning in the organization that he/she gets in. The first placement season at IWSB, saw a mix of both big companies as well as young and fast growing companies visiting the campus to pick students.  The compensation has been a combination of fixed component, variable pay and stock options.  Another highlight this year’s placement season was the number of students who have opted out of placements to start their own venture.
