At IWSB we are committed to foster Entrepreneurial Leadership. - Entrepreneurial leaders are transformational.
- Such leaders are strongly driven by achievement of their goals and strive to mobilize resources, opinions and action towards the achievement of these goals.
- They demonstrate high degree of ownership, a keen eye for opportunities and a healthy appetite for risk.
- They are often first movers.
- They do not hesitate to challenge conventional thinking, often creating new insights, and changing the rules of the game.
In the EPM we are focused on creating entrepreneurial leaders who go beyond role and functional boundaries to deliver. We recognize that irrespective of the industry, business or geography, organizations are looking for entrepreneurial leaders who can manage businesses while understanding the interests of multiple stakeholders, the impacts of globalization, and workplace diversity. The Entrepreneurial Leadership module in the EPM has three levels. - At the core level, it starts with developing your personal leadership style through group exercises and peer feedback that are designed to increase your self-awareness. These exercises, sometimes conducted in alien surroundings with meager resources, are meant to push you out of your comfort zones, to make you confront your own prejudices, all in an attempt to understand your own self better.
- At the next stage you develop the capability of understanding the relationship between individual behaviour and social systems and how these systems can be structured and designed to influence behaviour and performance. You also explore situations with conflicting demands and the tradeoffs that leaders face in such situations.
- Finally, throughout the EPM you get to meet a number of business leaders, social entrepreneurs, representatives from the government, and the NGOs. These leaders share their own journey and experiences with you for a wider perspective on issues related to business, governance and society.
