Srijan’10 Nurturing Dreams
IWSB, an initiative of the Career Launcher Education Foundation is itself a product of an entrepreneurial dream. The entrepreneurial ethos is at the heart of the foundational principles of IWSB. This entrepreneurial spirit is embodied in our core values of Risk Taking, Openness, Ownership, Honesty and Commitment, and Innovation.
The school through its Incubation Centre envisages promoting the values of entrepreneurial leadership, with the aim to nurture, harness and bringing to life entrepreneurial ideas among its student community and also facilitating such opportunities in the country at large.
Srijan’09 was our first initiative to provide a springboard to those numerous entrepreneurial ideas across the whole country. The winning start-up ideas of the day began their entrepreneurial journey with us and shall travel the distance between the generations of a brilliant idea to becoming a successful enterprise.

Some valuable comments/feedback from the Judges(Srijan’09):-
Excellent initiative, worthy objectives and a Great partnership forged already in terms of mentors who have committed to participate like IISc ASTRA.
-Jayaram Krishnan, CEO, Keystone
What I liked most about Srijan'09 was its unconventional approach to encourage budding entrepreneurs. Young men & women from ‘not so front running’ institutes coming up with bright ideas which IWSB promises to nurture. Even not so educated talents with ideas which promise to make a difference were encouraged, which is definitely a right step to encourage entrepreneurial talents.
-Pradeep.K.Mukherjee, IT Head, TATA Steel
The experience of Srijan’09 was exciting. Young and bright minds, which are ignited, displayed their entrepreneurial potential in many ways which pleasantly surprised us.
-Brig.Ganesh Pogula, Director(Production), Bharat Dynamics Ltd.
Srijan’09 was very well organised. Just to add some value, certain business plans should be assessed based on returns, scalability, unique expertise of the team etc. If these are done at a screening stage, the judges should get a copy of it. Keep up the Good work!
-Abizer Diwanji, Head-Financial Services, KPMG
Srijan’09 is a fantastic platform that provides budding entrepreneur’s a medium to showcase their ideas and get them validated by experts, mobilize resources and inputs. The ideas were fantastic and extremely diverse in nature. It’s a good step in the right direction, in the sense that it brings people from varied backgrounds together. Hope that a lot of these ideas get transformed into real life enterprises that generate employment and value for the society.

Some incubates details:
Build India- Building Lives!Labor training and management IIT-B
Build India will set up centre of excellence aimed at imparting training to unskilled and semi-skilled labor for infrastructure sector and hence make them employable as skilled laborers in this sector. Construction companies have been unable to execute industrial and residential projects on time due to shortage of skilled labor which is impairing the growth in infrastructure sector. Thus Build India’s centre of excellence will not only bridge this gap but will also provide sustainable employment to these people and contribute to inclusive growth of the country.
Green PeopleJammu & Kashmir Who we are: A zealous motley bunch of academics and professionals embedded with entrepreneurial DNA. But to keep things simple we call ourselves ‘Green People’.
What we propose: Restructure Indian household and commercial energy consumption practices by providing and promoting clean, sustainable and efficient fuels.
How: To commercially produce and supply ‘Bio-Gas’ and ‘Bio-fertilizer’ in rural areas for daily household and agricultural consumption. Gradually upgrade inventory and extend supply to urban markets and industries.
Modus Operandi: The ‘Coconut Tree’ concept, viz. almost all the components of the system can be used in some beneficial way. • Animal waste to be used for ‘Bio-Gas’ production. • Bio-Gas to be used for cooking, heating, lighting etc • Slurry remains, which are purely organic, to be reused as ‘Bio-Fertilizer’.
Millennium BricksPatented grassroots innovation-West Bengal
“Millennium Bricks” is an innovation in the field of construction material. This brick is hollow inside and has a groove and socket fitting system. This unique feature makes it advantageous from its conventional type. As the raw material used is less, it is economical and also environmental friendly. Due to its hollow feature, it acts as heat resistant, thus trapping the hot/cool air inside. The air inside the hollow region also makes it sound resistant. The groove and socket fitting joint bind the bricks stronger than the conventional brick, thus enabling it to be a better seismic resistant.
RenaissanceGrassroots to Global Commercializing innovations Renaissance is a platform which seeks to help grassroots inventors in taking their products or prototypes to the next level and building a commercially viable business model. There are thousands of budding entrepreneurs distributed around the country, and organizations like the National Innovation Foundation have made an effort to document these inventors in a systematic fashion. However, a systematic set of steps needs to be taken before these inventions can be successfully commercialized, including arranging for funds, developing a team, doing market research, and developing distribution channels. The purpose of Renaissance is to help the thousands of potential entrepreneurs build these business elements around their ideas, prototypes and products, thus radically enhancing the overall innovation output of the country.
