Extra Curricular Activities Print E-mail

At IWSB, we believe that learning comes from all around, whether it’s in the class room, or its on the cricket field or its in the wilderness. Students here are continually engaged in various Extra Curricular Activities which range from dramatics to debating to rock climbing.

Conducted at hill stations like Padampuri, OBL provides students with the opportunity to engage in activities such as raft making, rappelling, river crossing and treasure hunt which are aimed at improving the ability to work in a team and face the challenges that lies ahead. The OBL is the time when the students take some time off from the hectic schedule and get to do some fun learning outside the classroom.

Indus World Premier League
In line with IWSB's motto of work hard and play hard, the student community organizes a cricket tournament which goes by the name of Indus World Premier League where 4 teams are formed within the college by a bidding process which involves a lot of excitement and fun. The teams play with each other in league matches and the top two teams meet in the finals. The tournament which is organized bi-annually draws a lot of enthusiasm from the students to display their cricketing skills.

IWSB has an active theatre club which scripts, directs and performs plays at various platforms. This club provides ample opportunities for the students to display their talent in the field of dramatics.

Panel Talk
One of the recent initiatives taken by the student community of IWSB is the organizing of Panel Talks on topics of global importance like ‘Indo-US nuclear deal’, ‘The American Transformation and its Impact’ etc which would go a long way in enhancing the knowledge of happenings around the world. The panel talks are held once in a week where the students act as panelists and are judged by the distinguished faculty who are the jury members. The students also play a major role as the audience by critiquing the points raised by the panelists thus creating an ambience of an event like ‘The Big Fight’.
